Sweet Potato Puree

Sweet potato is a fantastic first food because its naturally sweet, easy to digest and packed with nutrients. It
provides:

 Beta-carotene (Vitamin A): Supports healthy vision and immunity
 Vitamin C: Boosts immunity
 Fiber: Helps with digestion
 Potassium & Iron: Supports growth and development

Ingredients:
 1 medium-sized sweet potato
 Water or breast milk/formula (as needed)

Step 1: Wash & Peel

Rinse the sweet potato thoroughly and peel off the skin.
Step 2: Cut

Chop into small cubes for even cooking.
Step 3: Steam

Place the cubes in a steamer basket over boiling water. Steam for 10-15 minutes or until tender.
Step 4: Blend

Transfer the cooked sweet potato to a blender. Add a splash of water, breast milk, or formula. Blend until
smooth.
Step 5: Cool & Serve

Let it cool to a safe temperature. Serve fresh, or store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Tips:
 For older babies (8-9 months), mash instead of blending for a chunkier texture.

Storage
 Refrigerate in an airtight container for upto 48 hours.
 Freeze in ice cube trays
